About

Sean Atitsogbe, widely recognized as "Sean the Science Kid," is an 11-year-old prodigy, STEM educator, positivity advocate, and rising media personality whose passion for science and education has inspired millions worldwide. With over 1.8 million followers across platforms (1.4 million on Instagram alone), Sean is redefining what it means to make learning engaging, accessible, and fun for all ages.

A member of American MENSA since the age of four, Sean's extraordinary journey began even earlier. He started reading at just nine months old, and by the age of three was already performing at a second-grade level. His rapid intellectual growth allowed him to accelerate through school, often completing two grade levels in a single year. By age ten, Sean had completed the sixth grade and, bypassing the rest of middle school, entered high school as a freshman—a testament to both his discipline and insatiable curiosity.

Sean has captured national attention through appearances on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Good Morning America, ABC News, CNN, and multiple top podcasts. His natural curiosity and charisma have also led him to conduct interviews with global icons including Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Rihanna, Adam Grant, and others, bringing science conversations into mainstream culture.

Sean's work and leadership have been recognized with multiple honors. In addition to his 2025 nomination for the Rising In Community Excellence (RICE) Youth Achiever Award, he has been nominated for the Junior Achievement of Georgia's 19 Under 19 Award and the STEM For All (SFA) Youth STEM Leader Award. He has also served as the keynote speaker for The Do Seum DreamWeek, where he was recognized as an official Dream Leader, inspiring audiences with his vision for accessible and exciting science education.

At the heart of Sean's work is his dream of becoming the world's first "Neurocardio Surgeon"—a term he coined by combining Neurologist and Cardiologist, reflecting his dual passion for the brain and the heart. His mission is to show that science is not intimidating, but instead part of everyday life. Through hands-on experiments, real-world connections, and motivational storytelling, Sean sparks curiosity and instills a lifelong love of learning in those he reaches.

Beyond science, Sean is a strong advocate for positivity and youth empowerment. He believes that every child deserves access to quality education that ignites imagination and nurtures potential. His ability to communicate complex ideas in a relatable way has made him a sought-after voice for media, conferences, and educational platforms worldwide.

Sean "the Science Kid" is not just a child prodigy—he is an emerging cultural figure whose vision is to make science a source of wonder, joy, and empowerment for generations to come.
